Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Limited (UETCL) has notified the Electricity Regulatory Authority of power supply interruption to customers supplied from the Masaka West and Mbarara North substations in Western Uganda. The power supply interruption occurred on Wednesday, 23rd May 2018 at 21:56 hours and was sustained till the morning of Thursday 24th May 2018.

The cause of the interruption is a broken red phase Jumper on structure No 264 on the Kabulasoke – Masaka West 132kV transmission segment. UETCL maintenance teams are already in the process of reconnecting the jumper and restore supply as soon as practically possible.
