The Electricity Regulatory Authority commenced construction of its new home at Plot 5C – 1 Industrial Area, on 29th June 2018.

The ground-breaking ceremony was presided over by the Chairman of the Authority, Mr. Richard Santo Apire; and witnessed by two Members of the Board – Eng. Joseph Oteng Otogo and Dr. Sarah Wasagali Kanaabi, the ERA Management, and representatives of Roko Construction Company, the Ministry of Works and Transport, and Archtech Consults (U) Ltd.

At this ceremony, Archtech Consults (U) Ltd (the Supervising Consultant for the ERA House Project) officially presented the “Site Handover Certificate” to Roko Construction Limited (the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Contractor). The certificate confirmed that the site was free of any encumbrances and thus ready for the construction phase.

Construction of the new ERA House is expected to be completed within a period of 15 (fifteen) months.
